Neighbors and guests are invited to Butterfly Day on July 28, 2-5 at the pavilion. All ages welcome!

You will learn about butterfly life cycles, what they eat, their ecology, and what they do in the winter. 

Native plant drawing (including many for shade)
See a butterfly wing and other parts under the microscope
Make seed balls to grow wildflowers in your yard, deck or in the common areas 
Start a nature journal
Make a butterfly craft
Enjoy a guided nature walk
Cookies and punch

Butterfly Day is sponsored by the Virginia Master Naturalists. There is still room in the upcoming training series.
