Natural Area Management (NAM) Committee

This committee, in concert with the Grounds and Trails Committee, ensures that the natural areas on our OFOA community property are cared for appropriately. Vegetated areas along water bodies, such as lakes, streams, rivers, marshes or shoreline, are known as riparian buffers. The OFOA shoreline is such a buffer, known as a Resource Protection Areas (RPAs) under the Bay Act. RPAs are protected under state law and local ordinances. There are no committee meetings, but rather a call for volunteers at the time of a needed project.
