Hello Neighbors,

 

For the past several years Janis McCarroll and I have taken our kids to participate in service projects around the community on Martin Luther King day.  We had the idea to organize a day of service within the neighborhood.  I am looking for 4 – 5 families to volunteer to host.  Each host will have a service project that neighbors can complete.  Neighbors can move from house to house and complete as few or as many projects as they would like.  All projects will be family friendly so children are welcome to attend.  Last year, we baked cookies and delivered them to first responders.  The kids were then treated to an impromptu tour of the fire station.  They enjoyed meeting the people who are available to help us every day and seeing that even as kids they can have an impact on their community.  Please reach out to me if you have an idea for a service project or would like to serve as a host house.
